Join Us for the 2014 Battle Commemoration
August 16-17

Each August, Re-Enactors visit the park to bring visitors a glimpse of what occurred over 200ears ago on August 19. 1782. Following the Indian attack on Bryans Station near Lexington, 182 members of the Kentucky militia set out to follow the raiders  But the Indians and their British allies were waiting to ambush the oncoming Kentuckians. Seventy of Kentucky’s earliest settlers died and were buried on this spot.

Blue Licks Battlefield State Resort Park is looking for vendors for the annual  Revolutionary War battle re-enactment and commemoration, Aug.  16-17. Outside spaces are $35. Some  spaces with electricity are available for $45.

The main area for this festival  will be in front of the Pioneer Museum. Activities during the weekend include  music, living history programs and a battle reenactment each day. Items sold at  the Blue Licks Commemoration must be items handmade by the vendor. Vendors will  not be permitted to sell store-bought or factory-made items.
